PARKS

In total, the Municipality of French River has three municipal parks and three ball fields: 


Joe Chartrand Park

Location: 200 St. David St. N, Noëlville, Ontario

Joe Chartrand Park is a 4-acre municipal park located in Noëlville. The park includes a picnic area, stage and a gazebo. There is limited parking available (20 Cars)


Verchères St. Parkette (Cenotaph Location)



Location: 38 St-David Street North, Noëlville, Ontario (corner of St-David Street and Verchères Street)

This park is 0.5-acre municipal park and is centrally located on the corner of St-David Street and Verchères Street in the town of Noëlville.

 

Community Splash Pad

Location: 796 Highway 64, Alban, Ontario

This park is a 4-acre municipal park located near the Alban Public Library in the town of Alban. The park includes play equipment, splash Pad, Picnic area, and Washroom Facilities.

 

Wally Lamondin - Beach

Location: 1053 Highway 64, Alban, Ontario

This beach includes a shelter area and a picnic area

 

Alban Skateboard Park

Location: 796 Highway 64, Alban, Ontario

The Alban Skateboard Park is located on the Alban Community Centre grounds.

 

Noëlville Skateboard Park

Location: 21 St. Christophe Street, Noëlville, Ontario


Boat Launches

Ash Bay—At the end of Ash Bay Road

Ministry of Natural Resources property, limited parking available.


Happy Landing Lodge—At the end of Happy Landing Road

Municipal water lot, gravel ramp, private parking. 


Ouellette Rapids—112 Plouffe Road 

Ministry of Natural Resources, cement ramp, parking limited to 15 spaces.


Rainbow Camp— At the end of North Channel Road

Municipal water lot, private ramp, private parking.


Shanty Bay— 53 D Quesnel Road, Monetville

Municipal owned, cement ramp, limited parking.


Sucker Creek— 46 Sucker Creek Road, Monetville

Municipal-owned, cement ramp, parking limited to 10 spaces.


Hwy 607 Landing - Highway 607, Murdock River Bridge

Ministry of Natural Resources property, limited parking.


Smoke-free Ontario

Kids need fresh air, not second-hand smoke. No smoking or vaping on or within 20 metres of playgrounds, as well as public sports and spectator areas.
