Household Hazardous Waste

Residents of French River can safely dispose of household hazardous waste during designated drop-off events.

Next Event Details:
Date: Saturday, September 27, 2025
Time: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Noëlville Landfill, 330 Houle Road

Accepted Household Hazardous Waste Includes:

  • Paints, solvents, and aerosols
  • Household cleaners and chemicals
  • Batteries and fluorescent light bulbs
  • Used motor oil and antifreeze
  • Pesticides, herbicides, and propane tanks

Important Notes:

  • No commercial or contractor waste will be accepted
  • Proof of residency is required
  • Waste must be delivered in sealed, labelled containers (original packaging preferred)

Next Hazardous Waste Event After September: Tentatively May 2026 (Date TBD)

Electronic Waste (E-Waste): 

In addition to event days, residents may dispose of electronics at the designated E-waste bin located at the Noëlville Landfill.

Accepted E-Waste Includes:

  • Computers, monitors, and laptops
  • Printers, fax machines, and copiers
  • Televisions and audio/video equipment
  • Cell phones, tablets, and other handheld devices

Please do not place electronic items in waste bins at transfer stations.
