COVID-19 News and Notices

COVID-19

The Municipality of French River is actively monitoring COVID-19 and is working closely with the Public Health Sudbury & Districts and community partners to take preventative measures and respond appropriately.

Municipal Services such as the Landfill Site and the Municipal Office remain open as per regular business hours. To this effect, the Municipality is attempting to minimize physical contact with the public and asks that if business can be conducted over the phone or through email to proceed in this manner.

The best way to protect yourself is by taking preventative measures and by following proper hygiene practices such as:

  • regular hand-washing or the use of alcohol-based sanitizers
  • not touching your face
  • covering your cough or sneeze
  • and staying home when sick

Stay up to date on the latest information and local status of COVID-19 by visiting Public Health Sudbury and Districts.

The Municipality will continue to follow the guidance of health authorities and will provide updates should new information become available, or the situation evolves.
